Born in Great Britain, Sarah & her family moved to the United States when she was just five years old. Not long after arriving in the United States her mom, Anne an avid horsewomen herself, got Sarah her first pony. Sarah originally rode hunter/jumpers but developed an interest in dressage after breeding her mare, Paper Money, to a local stallion. The result, an International Sport horse that she named Money to Burn, aka Mac. Mac was a 17.2H, dark bay gelding that she broke herself. She had trained and successfully competed with Mac in dressage through 4th Level. Sadly, Mac is no longer with Sarah, but recently she welcomed a new horse into her barn. Damerius, is a 17H imported Hannoverian gelding by a Duft II stallion. Sarah is competing at Intermediare II and Grand Prix with Damerius.
An accomplished dressage rider, Sarah has received her USDF Bronze Medal, her
bronze, silver and gold medals from the ESDCTA, as well as many Year-End awards
from both organizations. Sarah specializes in training the Adult Amateur in
Dressage. She offers a happy, relaxed atmosphere where her students are known to
have a lot of fun while training and showing. Sarah focuses on the fundamentals
of riding, such as how the rider's position affects the horse, "If you are
crooked, your horse will be too", she explains. "Learning how to be a rider
instead of a passenger", will make all the difference", she says. |
